Recently featured on Clear Channel's 91X Radio "Brand X Big Break" with Chris Cantore, Massachusetts native Kim DiVincenzo is making a name for herself in the San Diego music scene. Since her recent move from the East Coast, Kim has been consistently performing in hot spots like Lestat's West, Twiggs, Claire de Lune, Hot Java Cafe as well as LA's Room 5 Lounge.
Being in San Diego just shy of one year, Kim has secured a residency at Lestat's West, opening up for Mark Serritella's weekly comedy show which showcases national comedic acts.
She is currently in the studio working on her next album with talented producer, Keith Orfanides which is expected for release at the start of 2006 along with her first full backing band.
Kim captures fans with her sweet and sultry voice, high-spirited acoustic guitar, and playful personality. While her sound is completely her own, you'll get a taste of Michelle Branch's witty pop rock, Jewel's classically trained vocals, along with Mazzy Star's sweet but somber tales of love.
She is influenced by artists such as Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Fiona Apple, Ryan Adams, Damien Rice and Elliott Smith. Throughout High school and College Kim performed in many different choirs studying classical, jazz, pop, A Capella and Broadway theater. Her commitment to playing guitar and song writing began in college, since then she has been mesmerizing fans with her powerful lyrics and sweet, but incredibly infectious voice.
"I just took a listen.... such gorgeous songs!! And you have such breathtakingly beautiful vocals. Your songs have their own unique sound to them... I believe you have a new fan in me!" Nausicaa Vancouver, Canada
"What a lovely, relaxing voice Kim has! She reminds me of Jewel without a bassy flotation in her vocals. A talented writer who can easily get by without playing every note on the guitar..as she does very well." -Annette Warner, GoGirlsMusic.com, 2005
